Contract Award
In December 2024, ACUR was honored to be awarded a 23-month contract by the Environmental Protection Department to supply and deploy our KL-823 foldable Bluetooth platform scales as part of Hong Kong’s Smart Recycling System. Over the contract period, we will deliver 100 precision-engineered KL-823 units to community recycling sites, each seamlessly integrated with the EPD’s GREEN@COMMUNITY platform for real-time weight reporting.

The KL-823 foldable Bluetooth scale is built for field use. Its compact, folding design makes it easy to carry and store. Corrosion-resistant materials and adjustable feet ensure accurate readings on uneven surfaces. Bluetooth connectivity sends weight data straight to the Android tablet (Honeywell EDA10A), minimising manual entry errors. A rechargeable battery delivers up to 20 hours of operation, and one-touch tare and zero functions make net-weight measurements quick and simple.
With weight data flowing into the GREEN@COMMUNITY recycling scheme, users earn points for every kilogram they recycle—redeemable for small rewards such as drinks, cooking salt and other everyday items. The Environmental Protection Department gains real-time visibility of recycling volumes, and publish transparent community performance reports. Residents benefit from faster, more reliable recycling stations and immediate feedback on their contributions.
